Stella my lovely Steel Grey doe has birthed her first litter!
Born early afternoon on September 21st 2009,
I was able to quietly watch their birth!

I moved three into Norma's nest,
to give the babies a better chance of survival.

All 9 babies made it through the night!
Here (above) is a picture of the babies in Norma's nest...
Norma birthed 4 beautiful healthy babies just a few days before
Stella birthed her litter of 9. Norma is fostering 3 of Stella's babies...
they are a bit smaller, but are doing just fine...

(9-28) I had to get a good look at these babies, so I placed them into a box...
Norma wanted to stay close by!
Stella and her babies (Sept 28th)... the babies are getting quite active although their eyes are still shut! They have gotten out of the nestbox a few times now.
So far I have been able to catch them before they were out too long.
I believe we have 6 steel greys and 3 light grey bunnies from Stella's first litter!
10-5-2009 These little pudgy critters are now 14 days old! They are very chubby.
Cute little rolly pollies, healthy eaters they are ... did I mention they are big?
